As digital disruption sweeps through the manufacturing industry, we continue on our forward-thinking journey to always stay two steps ahead as new technology evolves. We’re now looking for an analytical and thorough Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with the grit it takes for deep and complex coding sessions, to join our team.
What about the job?
You’re a part of the newly formed Platform Operations/DevOps team – consisting of product owners, Scrum masters and platform engineers with the mission to translate business requirements into new cloud-native tools and solutions. Collaborating with different stakeholders such as vendors, industry experts and of course, Sandvik’s business areas, you create customer value by workshopping business needs through agile processes. You provide technical guidance and make sure the solutions are user friendly, uncomplicated and automated whenever possible. Through hands-on coding, you build and develop our Azure-platform and deliver the basic infrastructure as code to the different business areas at Sandvik, where local developers in their turn is implementing it in their specific settings.
Also, you’re always keeping an eye on the current architecture landscape, seeking ways to leverage, improve and extend corporate technology investments, while also making sure it’s updated and functioning.
Your background
For this role, you need to have experience from developing infrastructure as code. You may, for example, have been working with modern integration solutions with several Azure resource providers, solutions for security, containers and monitoring in CI/CD-pipeline. Or, you have experience as a DevOps engineer in an application company with focus on infrastructure and operations. We think you have a relevant university degree, but we first and foremost look at your skills and experience within the area. As we operate in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English.
It’s beneficial if you have experience from working in large organizations, Azure 500 and/or 900 certification, knowledge in PowerShell, ARM templates and Ansible – as well as well as Swedish language skills. Specific experience from working with Azure Enterprise Scale framework and AzOps is also a plus.
