COLOUR MATERIAL & FINISH DESIGNER

Are you a CMF Designer with experience in automotive exteriors? We are seeking a Colour, Material & Finish Designer for a project soon to start in our Design Studio.

Even though you should be able to work independently you need to be able to work within close teams if necessary. We value your passion for working with automotive development and have a genuine interest in design

You will get the chance to create and deliver CMF design proposals according to the design brief and project constraints for the assigned program and produce creative detailed design solutions fulfilling complex technical criteria. Develop concepts, which are translated into practical solutions in cooperation with Design and external suppliers. You will create Colour, Material, Finish definition documents and safeguard CMF releases. Produce image boards with master samples as part of the development review process. Participate in design reviews. You will also attend in project and engineering meetings while representing CMF in project related forums. The work involves close interaction with exterior designers, Studio Engineers, digital/physical modelling and project leaders, while also liaising with Product Planning and Marketing teams.

Requirements:

- Min. bachelor’s degree within Industrial Design, Transportation Design or Fine Arts.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from automotive transportation design. Experience working in other design related industries are an advantage.
- Deep knowledge in design process and methodology as well CMF development.
- Understanding of the automotive development process.
- Strong communicator with good presentation skills, both verbally and visually.
- Strong drive, independent and confident as well as a good team player.
- Structured, methodical and analytical with good planning skills.
- Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances.
- Fluent in English is an advantage.
