Commodity Manager - Strategic Purchasing

Strategic Purchasing at Mining Rock Excavation Service Division (MRS) in Örebro are looking for Commodity Manager for Machining and Welded parts.
One of Mining Rock Excavation Service Division eight focus areas is Cost Of Goods Sold (COGS) and Strategic Purchasing is the leader.
The ideal candidate should have a solid supply chain understanding, experience from Cost Of Goods Sold reduction projects and a strong customer focus.

Job description/Mission
Your responsibility as a Commodity Manager in the MRS division will be to:
- Support the overall MRS Strategic Purchasing Strategy and support/safeguard quick local implementation.
- Secure that your supplier base fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Atlas Copco group.
- Safeguard good cooperation with MRS purchasing and Atlas Copco colleagues within your commodities and be an active and responsible member of the Commodity teams.
- Secure parts availability from your supplier base and safeguard a stable and positive development of the Total Cost, including Quality, Delivery, branding and Cost-parameters.
- Carry out traditional sourcing activities for your supplier base, collect data and update system.
- Build up commodity strategy based on Kraljics Matrix, work with supplier consolidation.
- Create, develop and implement Best Cost Country Strategy.
- Participate actively in projects, as project member or project leader and support in global development projects and integration of suppliers in the product development process

This position reports to the Strategic Purchasing manager at MRS Hub Örebro


Educational and experience requirements (9 Core Competencies)
- University degree with some years of experience from strategic purchasing
- Good command of English (verbal and written) is a must
