Common Access Software Engineer

UCG/ Radio Support is a consulting company specialized in support to the telecom and electronics industry.Mostly in the design/verification and test/industrializing areas.We have an office at Kista in northern Stockholm but are operating all over Sweden.Through UCG recruitment we also help companies with permanent staff.All our openings require at least three years work experience from the IT business. Assignment description You will be working for the Quality department.The department is involved in all stages from specifying next generation solutions, through design to customisation and support. Job description As a member of the Common Access Software team you will work with connection and mobility management according to the Non-Access Stratum (NAS) part of the UMTS/3GPP standard.You will take part in all development steps, including analysis, design, coding, test and maintenance.As part of the team you will also help supporting our customers in developing successful mobile phones by providing analysis support, trouble shooting and sometimes on site support.You will work in an international environment were you will follow a function from specification through design and implementation to launch in customer products. The job requires knowledge about embedded systems and software as well as knowledge about layer 3 3GPP protocols (GSM, GPRS, EDGE and WCDMA).
