About the role
You will be a trusted communications partner to senior management in Sweden and Norway and work closely with our People Division. You will act as a guardian of the DFDS brand and be an advocate for One DFDS, aligning our communications efforts, DFDS purpose and strategy.
The position is placed in Gothenburg and reports to the Head of Communications, Business Partnering. You will cover the business units in Sweden and Norway and you will collaborate with colleagues both at our head quarter in Copenhagen and throughout Europe.
Main responsibilities
As Communications Manager, you will be responsible for advising senior management on impactful communication and ensure that strategic business priorities and cross-organisational messages are communicated with high quality and in a coherent way. You will support the implementation of the DFDS employer brand across all channels. You will also advice on communication activities to improve employee engagement and communication and execute on planned content.
As Communications Manager you will drive our communication strategy and content plan and prepare our annual communication wheel. You will continuously improve our communication efforts, be responsible for training and development of our leader’s communication skills and advice on change communication to facilitate change management.
In addition, you will ensure relevant content on internal platforms (Office365/Sharepoint). You will also plan, produce and execute internal and external content and support the development and planning for engagement events.
About you
We are looking for a communication professional who thrives in an operational environment where you can build strong relationships with managers, act as a trusted advisor and influencer. You hold the knowledge across the full communications landscape but excel when it comes to internal communication.

Based on your involvement in the business and your ability to influence others, you make things happen. You have the ability to act and work independently at the same time as you value collaboration and alignment.
The must have’s
Bachelor’s degree within Communications, journalism or equivalent
At least five years’ experience working with internal communication in a similar role
Extensive skills in Office365, digital communication tools and SoMe
Fluent in Swedish and English
Strong writing skills
Driver license
