The Cooling System group is a part of the Base Engine department in Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) based in Gothenburg. The group is globally responsible for the cooling system and the oil, coolant and CCV pipes and hoses for the heavy duty engine range. We are proud product owners and accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase.  We cooperate with the purchasing department, projects, test engineers and suppliers as well as our colleagues at the sites in France, USA, India and Brazil on a daily basis. Our products are used in more than 190 markets considered to be part of the core business. Who are you?

The team is leading the technical development in the area of pipes & hoses for oil, CCV and coolant as well as brackets mounted on the engines. You shall be used to work with in-house development of new components. This includes knowledge of product development processes such as FMEA, DFA, DFAM, drawing standards and tolerance chain evaluations as well as experience from cooperation with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Suppliers.

You will provide input to the roadmap, support in creating technical requirements and impact the future development plans. You are comfortable to take charge of the needed activities within a global cross functional team from all business areas. As part of a team we together have the platform responsibility for our components from development to maintenance.

You are passionate about developing technically heavy components with high complexity and motivated by the challenge to develop the combustion engine to meet the future demands of carbon neutral products. You find the opportunity to impact the demands and requirements of components intriguing. In your previous positions you have been working close with suppliers and together developed combustion engine components. You also have well documented experience from previous development of pipes, hoses and brackets.

You have a strong drive, are curious and inquisitive. You are willing to develop yourself as well as our team and way of working. As a person, we believe that you have customer focus, service minded attitude and a result-oriented mindset, which will help you to take on challenging work assignments in a successful way. Since you will be working with a broad and global network we think that you have excellent collaborative skills and are fluent in written and spoken English. In addition to this, you have the ability to learn quickly when faced with new issues and take the lead as product owner.
