The section Boosting & Exhaust systems is part of Engine Engineering within Powertrain Development and employs a total of 70 people in different roles. The section is responsible for the development and application of Boosting & Exhaust systems hardware for all Volvo Cars vehicles. Boosting & Exhaust systems consists of four development groups: Boosting Systems, Exhaust Aftertreatment Diesel, Exhaust Aftertreatment Gasoline and Exhaust Systems.

As Component Responsible within the group Boosting Systems you are responsible for the delivery of Turbo applications in projects and during the lifetime of the introduced product. In this role you will be responsible for the HW-function and design of the Turbo. You will work in a team consisting of the System Responsible Engineer and application specific Component owners (Component Responsible). Within all roles at Engine Engineering we are focusing on development within our roles, meaning that there is a clearly defined plan for personal development.

Main responsibilities

* Take on the role as Component Responsible for all project milestones (time, cost, technique, quality)
* Work together with the System Responsible engineer of the Turbo system in the quotation-process of the Turbo.
* Responsible for the verification of the design regarding technology, quality, service, environment, market adaptation.
* Responsible for technical documents.
* Work in close co-operation with the chosen supplier of the Turbo system
* Cross-functional co-operation with other areas within Powertrain and R&D

Required qualifications

* At least a B.Sc. grade within mechanics, physics or a similar education/experience
* Great technical interest and documented experience from the automotive business
* Catia V5 and Team Center documented experience
* Fluency in English, spoken and written
* Driver's license (B)
* Documented experience within the field of boosting is highly meritorious.
