Proffice is one of the fastest growing companies within the Nordic region, according to Growth Plus.Proffice provides flexible staffing solutions such as temporary staffing, recruiting, outsourcing and career and development programs.Proffice operates in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.Proffice AB is listed on the Stockholmsbörsen (Stockholm Stock Exchange).Proffice is now seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join the cheminformatics team at AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal, Sweden for a 1 year position.The group is located within the Computational Chemistry department of AstraZeneca's 'Global Discovery Enabling Capabilities & Sciences (GDECS)' organization.The department is engaged in the application and development of advanced computational technologies for drug design.In this role, you will evaluate and develop new techniques for data mining, compound library design and analysis, and compound prioritization as well as apply a wide range of cheminformatics methods to the drug design process.You will be working in close collaboration with medicinal and computational chemists from different research areas across several AstraZeneca R&D sites.You have practical knowledge with computational methods in cheminformatics and have a background in computational chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry or pharmacy through a related PhD.You have working knowledge and skills in Unix/Linux, C/C++ and Perl or Python.Your strong communication skills enable you to enthuse colleagues from different disciplines about your scientific contribution.You take initiative and focus on delivery while meeting the timelines and requirements in a multidisciplinary project.You enjoy learning new techniques and finding alternative solutions to tackle scientific problems.
