Volvo 3P is a Business Unit within the Volvo Group, which provides effective global solutions in the areas of product planning, purchasing, product development and Product Range Management for the four truck companies; Mack Trucks Inc, Nissan Diesel, Renault Trucks and Volvo Truck Corporation. Mission: To lead the development and implementation of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) common configuration management (CM) discipline according to our policy. Responsibilities: Lead the global CM competence area team within EEE Define the common CM directives containing objectives and activities for configuration item identification, base lining, change management, configuration status accounting and configuration auditing Define common CM directives and guidelines for the use of configuration management tools Act as team leader for the Gothenburg CM team Secure the implementation of the CM policy in EE Gothenburg projects, either directly or by overseeing the work of others The position will include occasional travelling within our global organization Qualifications: University degree in technology Documented industry experience (min. 5 years) of working with CM Experience from working with both operational and strategic CM is required Good knowledge in CM tools, e.g. ClearCase, ClearQuest or similar Ability to clarify the added value of having a well defined CM discipline to our employees and internal customers Good analytical skills Fluent in English is required Good social and networking skills are required Experience from working within the transport/automotive industry is a merit Experience in working with organizational maturity models (e.g. CMMI) is a merit Knowledge of vehicle technology is a merit
