Are you a person with a background or interest in marine consenting and permitting strategy? Are you interested in orchestrating NKT’s consent compliance through its marine installation projects? Do you want to work with large scale offshore projects with a global customer base and exposure in the renewable, oil & gas and the interconnector industry?  Then we might have the right job for you! NKT is currently expanding our offshore engineering team and are offering a unique opportunity to join one of the leading suppliers of the largest and most complex submarine cable projects.

As part of our offshore engineering department, you will be surrounded by colleagues within various offshore engineering disciplines. As Consents Specialist you would work alongside the marine installation teams and with local specialists to ensure the constraints, opportunities, costs, schedule impacts and risks, associated with the project’s consenting regime, are favourably accommodated.  Your engagement with these projects could span from tender through project commencement to project close-out.
For this, you hold a relevant degree, practical knowledge of the marine industry, and preferrable experience working with the different key regulatory bodies involved in consenting and permitting for marine operations (not limited to NW Europe).  
You will be a part of a highly skilled team, placement for this role could be Malmö or Karlskrona. NKT’s offshore installation engineering department is highly versatile and regardless of the competences you hold at the moment you will be given the opportunity to broaden and deepen your skill set.  
You would play a vital role by: 
* orchestrating NKT’s consent compliance through its marine installation projects,
* reviewing consenting requirements to accommodate constraints, opportunities, costs and risks appropriately,
* identifying and sharing lessons learned across multiple teams,
* researching project consents and the impacts thereof,
* further development of NKT’s consenting strategy,
* ensuring that the required consent is obtained on time (working with local specialists and consultants).

You are a self-starter, and motivated to take on several of various tasks ongoing. Besides this you have a strong analytical profile thriving well in the engineering environment.
To succeed in this role, you:
* hold a relevant degree (e.g. engineering, environmental science, marine spatial planning etc )
* have substantial experience within the marine environment,
* have an appreciation of working with diverse, multidisciplinary international teams,
* hold experience with compliance management or similar,
* grasp the cost, scheduling, and resource impacts of compliance,
* are aware of typical consenting processes,
* have strong communication and networking abilities,
* are fluent in English, written and verbal - proficiency in additional languages is a benefit
* enjoy reading and distilling information
