Construction Program Purchasing Specialist/Manager

Northvolt has an exciting job offer in Construction Purchasing to join our passionate team based out of Sweden. We are responsible for the procurement of the construction materials and services and relevant sub-categories across all entities for Northvolt. Our goal is to enable long-term partnerships with suppliers that will support Northvolt on its path towards >150 GWh of installed production capacity by 2030.

Profile:

In your previous professional work, you have collected experience in sourcing tasks preferably in the Construction function including running tenders, tender evaluations, and presenting to the senior management. You have worked in a multi-cultural environment with suppliers and colleagues from all over the world.

Key responsibilities:

- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and the internal stakeholders related to construction procurement for the program
- Overall responsible for activities concerning sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers and thereby meeting the budget, schedule, and overall objectives
- Prepare and keep an up-to-date procurement plan in coordination with the construction team and according to the construction schedule
- Validate and approve contractor purchases to ensure compliance to the process and for a strong cost base
- Leads procurement of the major packages with the support from the Category Management team
- Support, validate and approve Contractors’ purchases to ensure compliance to the Northvolt sourcing process and to guarantee Northvolt’s best interest
- Evaluate suppliers in quality, sustainability, volume, and deliverables

We believe that you have:

- A degree in Engineering, MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree
- Excellent in communication in English, written and spoken
- Experience from working with procurement of services and contractors
- Track record of successful project achievements
- Experience from working with procurement in construction field or disciplines indirect to construction
- Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus

Bonus points for:

- Experience from working with procurement in construction categories or disciplines indirect to construction
- Experience in working with Construction management companies and/or in the manufacturing industry
