Service Market Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. We have 5300 employees on more than 60 locations world-wide. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and for selected customers within the automotive industry.
We develop, manage and optimize service parts availability and distribution securing customer uptime. Material Planning Vehicle is a part of Gent/EU Region within GTO Service Market Logistics and we are responsible for the planned distribution of aftermarket products, from supplier to dealer

What do we do?
The Continental Material Planner (CMP) has a continental responsibility for a portfolio of suppliers delivering to the central warehouses in Gent and Lyon. The CMP has the overall responsibility of the relationship with the supplier of an assortment. The work is done in close cooperation with the Truck brands and other Business Areas, GTT, GTP Purchasing, Demand/Inventory planning and the suppliers.

Responsible for executing and actively participate in improving the material planning process for Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment

WHO ARE YOU?
Now you know a little bit about us. We would also like to describe who we think that you are, our new colleague. Since we don’t know you, yet we probably won’t have everything right, but when we imagine you we believe that you take on any challenge with a positive mindset. You like to take the ownership and feel responsibility for the market where you serve our Customers. You are also great at communicating and collaborating to reach the goals you set up, whether it’s internally in our team or with your colleague on the other side of the planet.
On top of that we also imagine that you are passionate about trying new things and are always looking to expand your knowledge. We don’t think that you are an expert in all the technical aspects of the job we do, but you have the real will and mindset to explore, learn and develop.
Some examples of areas where we want you to either already have some experience or feel strong curiosity for are BI-tools (we mainly use Qlikview and Power BI) and Coding (we mainly use Python, and SQL)
We need you to have strong analytic skills. You like to work with large amount of data to perform in depth analyses and you have the ability to present the result of the analysis in an understandable way. If you also have previous experience from studying or working with logistics and supply management, it’s very meriting as that’s the core of what we do.
We know that this image of our new colleague is very extensive and put demand on a very broad skill set, and we really don’t expect you to cover all of it, at least not yet.
