Site Stenungsund is located on the Swedish west coast, 50 km north of Gothenburg. The plant was commissioned in 1980 and has been within the Perstorp Group since 2001. Main products are aldehydes, organic acids, alcohols, plasticizers and the renewable biofuel RME.

About the role

As our Continuous Improvement Manager your main purpose is to empower our site in using the tools and ways of working within Lean & Six Sigma and the Perstorp standard for this. As our head of improvements your focus is to lead and develop our site, helping us to raise us to the next level.

You‘ll play an important role in driving the cultural change on the site where you will work “hands on” with several improvement measures. It is within your responsibility to lead business analysis and deliver complex business change projects. You will lead the Project Management Office (CI).

As a member of the Leadership Team of Site Stenungsund, you will contribute to developing the site. You will be the manager for one employee and have indirect leadership for the whole CI community at the site. You will also have colleagues across the world which will allow you to participate in a global network.

You report to our site manager.

Who are you?

We are looking for a candidate with significant (more than 10 years) change/improvement delivery experience within process industry meaning you are an expert in change management and change leadership.

You have relevant, technical or business, university education and are certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

You have the capability to perform data analysis (including statistical analysis) and data extraction and manipulation. You must be able to perform business analysis and manage project design. You can successfully implement new ways of working with the knowledge you’ve gained from your previous experience from leadership and / or project management.

You are an expert in Minitab or JMP, have high competence in Excel and are a Lean Six Sigma trainer & practitioner.

You are a self-starter and high achiever who will require minimal support and enjoys the autonomy to deliver. You embraces conflict and recognizes it as a part of a change leaders role.

You are a pragmatic leader who is not afraid to take measured risks and is motivated by delivery and achieving stretching targets.You have a coaching approach to leadership and is a natural leader in cultural changes. You are a highly capable communicator and knows what makes communication effective. Fluent in English and Swedish, spoken & written, is a requirement.
