GVA Consultants AB is a world leading design office in the oil and gas industry, specialized in floating offshore installations.GVA Consultants AB assists oil companies, rig owners and yards with engineering in all project phases from concept through installation offshore. Position The Controller at GVA will be a part of the Accounting & Finance team and will report to the A&F Manager.The primary responsibilities will include: - Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecasts.- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.- Participate in the coordination of the company?ss financial planning and budget functions.- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations.- Prepare cash flow analysis.- Support the department managers and corporate staff to develop long term business plans for the company.- Participate in the monthly reporting processes within the A&F department.- Responsible for part of the month end close process including making entries in the G/L - Participate in the development of processes within the A&F Department - Assist the A&F Manager on different projects Participate in financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.- Obtain a thorough understanding of KBR?s policies and procedures.Ensure GVA?s compliance with these policies and procedures and remediate any variances identified on a timely basis.Profile Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: - BS degree or similar in accounting is required. - Minimum 6 years experience in the role as controller/analyst.- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles.- Knowledge of and the ability to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports and statements.- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.- Very good skills in Excel is required - High level of proficiency in GAAP is desirable - Ability to work unsupervised and also as part of a broad-based team, must be considered a team player, reflecting high integrity as well as strong work ethic.- Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.- Comfortable with communicating at all levels both within the A&F Department and wider operational organization.- Skills in ASP, Hyperion, Essbase and Smartview is desirable - Communicates in both English and Swedish (orally and written) fluently.- Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.
