Controls & Compliance Manager, Sweden & Norway

The Compliance Manager is responsible for establishing a culture of compliance in Norway & Sweden by articulating the importance of compliance to senior management and influencing the right tone at the top. The successful candidate facilitates the execution of a solid business-led compliance rhythm by establishing a structure and compliance checks and coaching stakeholders on key compliance risks and processes to drive compliance deep into the organization.

Compliance Officer & Compliance Committees
• Creates and leads committees by formalizing governance on cross-organizational compliance committees; supports the adoption of business-led compliance rhythm; influences the culture and tone resulting in full adoption of a business led compliance rhythm; coaches and holds people accountable for behaving compliantly and ethically; implements global compliance initiatives.
• Engages proactively with committee to ensure required and participant-recommended topics are discussed; facilitates and monitors compliance committee execution, including getting the right people to focus on at-issue topics (e.g., Sales Deal Execution (SDE), services, and partner compliance related risks) and ensures appropriate escalation and oversight; supports the adoption of a business-led compliance rhythm; coaches others and holds them accountable to compliance and ethical standards; leads discussions to address existing risks and identifies and acts against emerging risks (e.g., non-ethical sales, corruption).
Monitoring & Collaboration
• Defines the framework (e.g., controls), scope, and definition of the testing and makes adjustments and updates in coordination with the monitoring program owner; reviews and leverages quarterly testing results and metrics to ensure accuracy; reviews and ensures business or functional team accountability for remediation plan and execution; consults on remediation or escalates issues, as necessary.
Facilitates and lands key monitoring processes; participates in annual risk assessments and ensures local management and partners are taking appropriate actions and controls are functioning appropriately; provides feedback to improve monitoring programs; sets timeliness of implementation of the corporate program; engages in and shares best practices within team and across geographies.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
• Identifies and reviews Sales Deal Execution (SDE) risks and issues both at the end customer and in the partner ecosystem; identifies SDE risks and implements appropriate controls; surfaces issues to Subject Matter Experts (SME), peers, management, and corporate teams to drive program/process improvements; identifies novel solutions to issues of the Sales Deal Execution (SDE) both at the end customer and in the partner ecosystem.
• Partners with the business to ensure meaningful and robust vetting of third parties before moving to the next level of the process based on third party tiering; defines appropriate and practical level of control based on risk; oversees timely completion of controls with OCP, Partner Development Manager (PDM), or Services as applicable; oversees teams' efforts in the vetting process; ensures controls are functioning appropriately; supports subsidiary team's monitoring efforts by providing coaching, and/or mentoring; flags deals for review where risk indicators exist and provides professional insight to create plans to address risk or risk indicators.
Education
• Leverages the full spectrum of available training; trains the local business champions to ensure robust local business compliance community and support the business champion to deliver internal and external partner compliance training to their respective organizations facilitates the landing of compliance policies and processes.
• Facilitates policies and processes by reviewing and developing team development of Role Based Compliance (RBC) trainings, leveraging existing cross-functional teams to partner with required departments such as Office of Legal Compliance (OLC) or others, and managing the delivery of trainings that ensure message consistency and risk prioritization.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field AND 6+ years of financial compliance experience
▪ OR equivalent experience.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Finance or related field AND 8+ years of industry compliance experience
• Experience working in a multinational company, in a matrixed finance/compliance function
• Experience in tech industry preferred.
