Volvo 3P is a Business Unit within the Volvo Group, which provides effective global solutions in the areas of product planning, purchasing, product development and Product Range Management for the three truck companies; Mack Trucks Inc, Renault Trucks and Volvo Truck Corporation. They represent approximately 70 per cent of the Volvo Group's turnover of 200 billion SEK. Economic Support is a function directly reporting to CFO for Volvo 3P with a responsibility for product cost follow-up and forecasting on end products, trucks, in projects as well as in the daily business. We are also the overall Cost controllers in the projects globally supporting the Chief Project Managers (CPM) as well as the finance representatives in the Vehicle Module Teams. Economic Support is a global function represented in Allentown, Greensboro, Lyon & Gothenburg. The Economic Support team in Gothenburg is now looking for a Cost Engineer/Controller for the Cab Vehicle Module Teams (VMT) Job description: The job offers wide and varied tasks in a stimulating environment. Your main tasks will be to support your VMT in all financial and cost analysis issues, such as Product cost calculations in product projects supporting today's business (mainly within the areas of cost improvement, quality improvement and market adaptation) Product cost controlling in projects using our Product Cost Controlling Tool (PCCT). Defining product cost targets in projects by performing best practice costing and part cost analysis. Performing profitability calculations in small projects (single modular projects). Establishing the annual product cost budget/business plan for the VMT. You will report to the Cab VMT Manager/s and to the Economic Support site Manager. Profile: You have as a minimum a B.Sc in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. You have experience from similar tasks, such as product cost calculations and part cost analysis (cost engineering). Other relevant experience can be from manufacturing engineering, sales engineering or product development. It is necessary that you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
