Husqvarna Group is looking for a Cost Engineer to join our Sourcing team.

Sourcing at Husqvarna is organized in several functions securing quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply to Husqvarna on a global level. One of the key functions within Sourcing is Cost Improvement, which focuses on cost take-out initiatives and cost saving.

Your future challenge
The Cost Engineer is a part of the Sourcing Team within the Husqvarna Division and reports to the VP Supplier Quality Assurance & Development.
He/she works closely with R&D, Product Management, Laboratory, Quality and Manufacturing to delivering measurable improvements in cost by identifying, following or leading improvement plans and projects.

Your role
- Develop the Cost Improvement process within Purchasing in alliance with R&D and Manufacturing.
- Develop cost estimating methods and evaluation tools
- Support the Sourcing team in the preparation, documentation, and presentation of cost estimates
- Analyze and prioritize Cost Improvement ideas
- Follow up and report on the selected projects, highlight possible criticalities effecting the projects achievements
- Spread relevant project information in the organization, involve all stakeholders prior to making a decision
- Initiate and organize Cost Reduction projects on different Husqvarna plants

Who you are
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business / Engineering.

Years of Experience: 3 years of relevant experience

Desired Skills:
- Ability to define a vision and strategy for cost improvement activities within Sourcing
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects. High level of attention to detail needed.
- Knowledge of various cost reduction methods (e.g., Value Analysis / Value Engineering)
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills and solid interpersonal skills
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Fluent English is required. Additional language (German, Chinese, or other languages) is an asset
