GVA Consultants AB is a world leading design office in the oil and gas industry, specialized in floating offshore installations.GVA Consultants AB assists oil companies, rig owners and yards with engineering in all project phases from concept through installation offshore. Temporary position during one of our employee' s maternity leave.Duration ca.1-1 year, from January 2011.Position The Cost Lead will be a part of the Project Control department and will report to the Project Controls Manager.The primary responsibilities will include: Responsibility for project forecasts, cost controls and reports project costs need for specific projects.Participate in the development of Project work Breakedown Structure (WBS).Develop/implement the cost code system for man hours, cost budgets and the collection of actuals.Work closely with other disciplines and departments to provide cost and change control information to Project Management and Finance.Interface with all contributors with regards to budgets, changes, actual and forecast at completion man hours and costs.Responsible for billing the clients in accordance with customer agreements and project management.Set up and maintain the change control logs.Work with the project control personnel in the provision of cost and man-hour status to Project.Management and incorporate this information into monthly reports.Coordinate with associated departments with regards to billings, administration, timesheet validation etc.Direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members.Coach and develop subordinates.Assist and advice the Project Control Manager in the Annual Merit Review process. Profile The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include: At least five years experience of work with cost control, project forecast and billing preferably within engineering business.Work independently and have the ability to organize, which means that you know what needs to be achieved and establishes time frames and schedules.Produces clear written communications which are appropriate to subject matter and level of audience.Keeps other informed of changes and supports people through them.Checks for understanding by asking probing questions and encourages other to seek feedback.Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve skills.Ability to work unsupervised and also as a part of a broad- based team- must be considered a team player.Applicant must be a self starter and posses a positive attitude.Communicates in both English and Swedish.
