The Product Costing function resides within Electrolux’s Group Finance organisation and is responsible for driving the cost management agenda in the areas of new product development (NPD) and product lifecycle management (PLM), for all product lines on a global level. With hundreds of NPD projects on a yearly basis, the team plays a critical role in ascertaining the profitability of our next-generation appliances.


Within the Product Costing Function team, we are looking for our ‘Cost Modelling & Systems Lead’, who will be the guardian of our Target Costing Methodology and be responsible for managing both cost modelers and business owners of Systems. As such, the Cost Modelling & Systems Lead will be accountable for owning and developing the company’s cost database, tools and processes, as well as the resources utilizing these tools and processes to perform cost modelling in NPD projects throughout the organisation. When needed, the Cost Modelling & Systems Lead will partly be operational, supporting both Cost Modelers and Business Owners of Systems.

Responsibilities:
· Managing a team of up to 10 people
· Ensuring that existing tools, systems and processes for conducting product costing are continuously improved and adpated to end-user needs
· Thinking strategically about back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
· Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff
· Applying cost methodologies, tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data
· Ensuring sufficient resource capacity to cover prioritized projects
· Allocating resources across projects based on cost manager requests
· Delivering on functional KPIs to ensure that Electrolux is achieveing cost excellence
· Sharing state-of-the-art costing best practices with other relevant functions
· Working proactively within the Product Costing function to develop a scalable, best-in-class organisation



Qualifications:
· Academic degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics or similar
· At least 7-8 years of professional experience, preferably in an analytical position in a manufacturing environment
· Business acumen and analytical skills coupled with systematic approach to mass-data handling, analysis and interpretation
· Understanding of key functional areas – purchasing, manufacturing, project management, business controlling, quality management, R&D
· Team player with leadership skills to drive cross-functional work
· Presentation, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally, across various cultures
· Project management skills, with experience of driving IT-related projects
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Strategic thinker with detail orientation, who can challenge status quo
· Experience from product costing in a product development related context e.g. product cost optimization, value engineering, DFMA, target cost ambition setting
· Hands-on experience from using automated cost models, cost database, cost factors, and/or cost estimating related tools
· Knowledge about costing tools like TcPCM, Apriori etc. is a plus
· Experience in appliance/electronics industry is a plus
· Advanced proficiency in MS office
· Excellent English, both written and oral
