Cover teachers and Cover Fritids staff at Internationella Engelska Skolan Skellefteå

IES is proud of its employees and has developed a method to create a calm and safe school environment. This allows our teachers more time to share their knowledge, both with students and colleagues. 

IES Skellefteå is a bilingual school where we work together, staff and students, in an international environment. At our school we teach students from F-9. The school opened in 2019 and is still growing. 

We are looking for Cover teachers in school and Cover staff that support our Fritids department.

As Cover staff you will be asked to support based on the schools’ needs which can mean supporting both as Cover teacher and supporting staff at Fritids. 

Job description - Cover teachers:

> You will cover lessons in different subjects and year groups (in English or Swedish). All lesson material will be prepared and is available before the lesson starts. You will receive an introduction at school to walk through our routines and be a part of a few lessons before your first cover lesson. 

Job description - Cover staff Fritids:

> You will support  the Fritids staff members to carry out a wide range of activities (Clubs) which are linked to the students’ current school goals and interests.

Who are you?

> You have a positive, enthusiastic and supportive attitude

> well-organised, take pride of your work and are a role model for students

> You are passionate about development and a collegiate approach

> You are comfortable communicating both orally and in writing in English and/or Swedish (Swedish is an advantage) with students and staff

> you are flexible in terms of working hours

> You enjoy working with students

> Not mandatory: You have a teaching qualification or Fritids /Activity leader qualification

> Not mandatory: You have experience of working in a school setting

> You have knowledge of and share the values and ethos of the International English School*
