Nordax Bank is a leading specialist bank in the Nordic region providing private loans and deposit accounts to about 300 000 customers in mainly Sweden, Norway and Finland. Nordax also offers mortgages in Sweden and Norway and deposit in Germany as well as the Netherlands. Nordax employs about 400 people, all working in one office in Stockholm, in Torsplan. The company has an entrepreneurial spirit and a flexible way of working. In November 2021, Nordax completed the acquisition of Bank Norwegian, doubling its portfolio and adding credit cards to the product repertoire.

About the role

The Credit Risk Engine team is at the very core of our business, ensuring that we can deliver our promise to our clients, helping them make informed decisions for a life they can afford. The team works with our credit engine to help us segment the market, manage risk, and ensure our customers get the best solutions to their financial needs.

The team consists of professionals in both finance/credit and tech. As a part of it, you would be working on ensuring the quality of one of our core systems and ensuring that the system runs smoothly, helping us further expand our operations as we continue to grow and ensuring that our customers receive the high-quality service they are used to. This means you would be working closely with both our business and tech side and have a vital impact on our ambition of becoming the natural choice for customers in the Nordics.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop a test strategy and individual tests for changes to the credit risk engine
- Maintain existing test suites as external requirements and functionalities change
- Automate, optimize, and execute on semi-automatic and manual tests for certain systems and functionalities


Your profile

You are interested in both banking and fin-tech and perhaps you have some previous experience in this field. You enjoy solving problems and have the ability to understand business data, draw logical conclusions from it, and practically apply these conclusions into solutions in a structured way. Ideally, you already have some knowledge about the credit process, and you have good problem-solving skills.

- Strong problem-solving skills - you know how to break problems down into parts
- Detail oriented and curious with a knack to accurately capture potential error causes


- Familiarity with multiple technical systems and how to automate tests effectively
- Experience working with testing protocols & platforms like XML & Rest, SOAP & SOAP UI, or JMeter
- Experience working with environments where traditional test automation is challenging such as StrategyOne and other 3rd party systems
- Knowledge about the credit process and/or other regulated processes like banking, healthcare or legal
- Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum) with product owners, requirement specialists, and quality assurance professionals
