Customer Service Representative.
The company is the pre-eminent technology leader in connectivity solutions for the computer and consumer electronics user. Since the inception of the company in 1983, it has enjoyed 18 consecutive years of dramatic growth with gross sales exceeding $400 million worldwide. In Europe, the company is represented by two wholly-owned subsidiaries: One office in the UK which services the UK, and one in the Netherlands (Schiphol - Rijk) which is in charge of the rest of the European continent, Africa and the Middle East.
Although the company manufactures and sells thousands of products through many reseller channels, its employees in the Netherlands barely touch the physical product. They are strictly a sales and marketing organization. Their excellence lies in managing information and communicating with others, both internally as externally.
Main Tasks:
To provide office-based sales administration support in an environment, which is dedicated to supporting direct and indirect customer queries. In addition, to take responsibility for the continuous promotion of this company's product lines, seeking out new business opportunities wherever possible, and self-develop to reach the Account Executive level.
Primary Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls on behalf of sales team, providing appropriate service to direct customers
Assist and advise end-user customers with pre-sales product selection via telephone and email
Be the communication point and provide support to the other dept to optimise the service and resolve the open issues with the customers. Process all orders (per fax or electronically) and returns coming from the customer. Process all Price Protections. Support the customers by supplying product specifications, cross-referencing part numbers, or providing solutions for specific applications.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Support the inside and outside based Account Executive queries of the marketing activities.
Support the entire sales floor whenever this is required. Confirm the reception and follow up with the status of orders back to the customer. Transfer data from customer sales reports to the company equivalent in order to monitor success of product sales and stock holding. Feed monitored results to Inside Sales Team.
Analyse sales by product category on a monthly basis, investigate and report on any non growth areas
Requirements:
Prerequisites:
Educational requirements: MBO-HBO diploma or equivalent
Fluent in English and one other European Language
Minimum of 2 years inside sales experience
Minimum of 2 years customer service background
Computer literate: working knowledge Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and Outlook
Oracle experience would be an advantage
