Data Analyst/ BI Specialist

The role
As a Data Analyst at Estrid, you will be responsible for providing analysis and insights on strategic initiatives across all customer journeys, with the purpose to improve LTV, conversion, and retention. You will do so by using SQL queries, dashboards, and automating reporting. You will ensure that all departments have access to the most accurate and relevant data to enable ad hoc question solving, but also to create a holistic view of the company by tying different departments and data sources together and to support key strategic decisions. Your mission is to ensure that we constantly make data-driven decisions, allowing for outstanding retention numbers and creating magically, unique, next-generation digital experiences for our community.
Some of the things you will do:
Champion a data-driven culture, empower others to proactively use data to make decisions
Extract, manipulate and visualize data to find and understand patterns and behaviors
Analyze problems and find their root cause through data, and present subsequent insights to teams and management
Build action-oriented dashboards and work closely with business partners and cross-department allowing for organization-wide data-driven decisions
Evaluate best practices for notification channels e.g. email, SMS, pop-ups, ads, to keep our retention numbers high and our churn rate low
Provide data structure requirements to the Data Engineering team based on business goals



We think that you are:
We are looking for an engaged team-player who thrives in a fast-paced e-commerce environment and loves the challenge of highly complex business contexts, and above all, is deeply passionate about data and analytics. You are engaged, communicative, curious, and have a self-starter attitude with a growth mindset.
You understand and can work across multiple analytics tools, including web analytics platforms like Google Analytics, and are comfortable working with big data sets and multiple data sources. You have a couple of years of experience working independently with data and have the skills to export, manipulate and visualize the data in a way that is accessible to non-technical team members. Those that have worked with you describe you as either an A-player or an A-player in the making, with world-class ambitions.
We also think you have:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
Knowledge of dashboards, writing queries, accessing data combined with a business mindset to make the data actionable and allow for exceptional, sustainable growth
Strong BI Tool expertise and proven track record of building and maintaining dashboards that deliver business insights using data visualizations
Excellent in the end to end analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals, reports, and strategies
Very good practical knowledge of SQL, indexing, and query optimization
