Data Scientist

The Hero Loop is a startup in pre-seed pilot phase. We are building a scalable decentralised Web3.0 responsive app to match need with help in the area where you are located. We value responsible computing and the SDG principles, and want to make it easy for citizens to contribute to living sustainably.
We are looking for a Data Scientist with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills is essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine-learning to build AI services and analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help extract valuable insights and reports.
Responsibilities
Automate and enhancing the data collection process
Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
Generating information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns to find answers to specific questions
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Present information using data visualization techniques
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
Identifying relevant data sources for business needs
Organising data into usable formats
Processing, cleansing & verifying of data
Develop, implement and maintain databases
Assess quality of data and remove or clean data
Preparing reports for executive and project teams
Create visualisations of data

Requirements
Understanding of machine-learning and research
Knowledge of Python Flask and Kafka
Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills
MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
