Data Steward within Economic Crime Prevention at Swedbank

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
Be part of a cross-functional team together with Data Scientists, Engineers and subject matter experts to build products that help us prevent economic crime


Collaborate within your team and speak with stakeholders so that your team can identify the complex behaviours and patterns that represent modern financial crime


Contribute with data analyses, data definitions and document our data requirements


Maintain our conceptual model and improve its integration with the rest of organization


Monitor and report data quality


Support analysis of data flow across the lineage for data quality issues root-causes and evaluate their impact


Resolve issues where possible, escalate where necessary and propose improvement activities


Support Business Acceptance Testing


Profile data and suggest new meaningful data controls to ensure high data quality


Consult and support data consumers, be expert in different initiatives


Work alongside with the Agile Product Owners and relevant stakeholders across Swedbank


Collaborate with other team members in the cross functional team and constantly improve our ways of working

What is needed in this role:
As a Data Steward you are expected to be business oriented and understand data structures as well as data flows


Previous work experience with data analyses from working with large amounts of data


Understanding of database modelling and design


Good analytical and logical thinking with creative attitude


Previous knowledge or work experience with SQL. Understanding of XML and Json is appreciated


Higher education or obtaining one (preferably in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or IT)


To be a team player as job requires working closely with several teams and stakeholders


Good communication, leadership initiation and ideation skills


Knowledge from areas such as Anti-Money Laundering, Risk, Compliance or any other relevant area is an advantage


It is an advantage if you have worked as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Steward and in an agile team
