Data Warehouse Developer to Scania

You will join the Quality Information team which is a fantastic team of data warehouse developers, analysts and data scientists within R&D at Scania. We work with data analysis and management of information connected to the contract sales, quality KPI's and BI-tools to analyse the quality of Scanias products.

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

YOU WILL
Your responsibility will be to further develop current ETL flow and data staging structures using the Data Vault principle. In cooperation with other data warehouse developers you will take lead in developing the current data warehouse and sustainable ETL-flow that supports both advanced analytics and self-service BI solutions. You will be part of a group with different expertise’s and responsibilities, that always strive for a common goal as a team. To be successful at your job, you must understand the big picture and take responsibility of your own work as well as helping the team when it is needed.

You will be responsible for:


• development and implementation of the data flow architecture in terms of ETL flows for good performance, traceability, manageability and security.
• building dimensional Kimball modelling on top of the Data Vault structure 
• development and monitoring of data integrations
• maintenance of existing data structure
• to follow the development of new technology and techniques that can enhance Scanias data platform

YOU ARE
We believe you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in systems or computer science or equivalent. Work 2-5 years of experience as Data Warehouse Development. It is also a requirement for you to have good language skills in English in speech and writing. As a person you are described as curious and having the entrepreneurial spirit, have excellent problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in developing in the role as a DW developer. It is considered as a meritorious/advantage if you have previous experience of big data technologies and Data Vault modelling. Knowledge or experience is also required in the following areas:


• SQL Server and SSIS ETL concepts
• Good data warehouse knowledge
• communication skills needed to cooperate with Scania central IT department to find the best and most efficient and effective solution for a sustainable ETL-flow.

 Finally, it is advantage if you have good communication skills in Swedish.
