NULL Elan IT Resource is recruiting on behalf of BSH Northern Europe IT a Database expert with experience in Java-programming BSH Hushållsapparater AB is a subsidiary company of the BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, Munich, a group with worldwide operations, which posts annual sales in excess of six billion euros.The company was founded in 1967 and offers major domestic appliances, consumer products and domestic technology.Northern Europe IT (VNE-IT) is responsible for development and support of IT-services in Northern Europe (Nordics and the Baltics).BSH main application is SAP R/3.As part of BSH-VNE:s preparation for it's continued growth (over 10% each year for the last 5 years) VNE-IT is looking for additional people to join the team in Stockholm.Job descriptions The primary responsibility as is to provide the IT-group with database expertise and Java programming.The job will also gradually move towards the project management assignments including service/product design, project planning, budget planning, management of project resources, cost control, testing, documentation according to corporate policies and reporting to IT and business management in Northern Europe.As Database expert with experience in Java-programming you will: - Be the team focal point for Java development.Do simple Jboss and Tomcat configuration - Do advanced database development (primarily SQL 2000 and SQL 2005) including: - Transactional SQL - DTS - Design - Performance optimization - Be responsible for all installation of new databases.Support team-members and users in all database related questions.- Do Exflow/IXOS support (requires general database knowledge).- Do Internet/intranet support.- Act as backup for colleagues in the areas of telephony and call-center support.- Be the IT-group expert of the sales and marketing related business processes.Qualifications - Highly skilled technical person who can manage several small projects in parallel.- Be interest in working with our customer and user community to improve the business.- Relevant university degree is desired.Masters degree in information technology or electrical engineering is preferred.- Strong written communication in English.- Knowledge of German is an advantage.Preferred Skills .Database Technology .Java-programming .JBoss configuration .HW and Operating Systems As a person you are driven, ambitious and like high tempo.You also have a desire to move towards the project management area.Travelling is normally not required.During certain projects it may be required to travel extensively for shorter periods of time (1-2 months) within the Nordic countries.Apply as soon as possible, but at latest 30 April 2006.Please sign your application with "BSH Database expert".
