Datacenter Support, Fiberoptics, Network - Mölndal

Datacenter and office setting. Everyday could be a different worksite, however most of the time you will be in Offices or the datacenters connected to our site in Mölndal, with occasional travel outside the Göteborg area.
We are looking for a curious, self-starting, hard working individual who is interested about the physical internet and the infrastructure behind it.


Ideally you have a driver's license. You are interested in optical fiber networks, servers, routers, and switches. Much of the role that is similar to that of a network technician.


The workplace language is English. You should be able to communicate professionally in written and spoken English. We are a very international team, but based in Sweden. Swedish is not required for the position, however you are expected to be learning the Swedish language if not currently fluent. We are looking for one Datacenter support technicians to help operate customer datacenters in the Mölndal area. We are looking to fill the position ASAP.


We provide 24/7/365 hand and eyes support to our customers. Right now we have an opening for support in a customer's facilities in Mölndal. You will be working with the customer on a 6 month project. There is good possibility that this will be extended.


This role will require some of the following:
-Installation and removal of servers and network equipment
-Troubleshooting server and network issues with remote technicians
-Fiber welding
-Rotate and document storage media
-Experience with Microsoft Excel
-On-call duties


This could be the perfect introductory job for someone interested in IT and cloud computing. Our team is multi-national and we speak a mix of English and Swedish on the job-site. This is a good job for someone learning Swedish as well.


EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS. Particularly:
-Experience with fiber-optics
-Experience in a Datacenter
-Experience with computer networks
