Assignment Description:
We are looking for an experienced DB2 z/OS Database Administrator to join a team managing business-critical financial systems. The role focuses on both new development and ongoing database maintenance, ensuring high stability, performance, and reliability in a mainframe environment. The DBA will work in an agile context, closely collaborating with development teams and other DBAs, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you will work on:
Manage DB2 z/OS databases for multiple business-critical systems
Collaborate with development teams to ensure stable and optimized database performance
Handle database-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving incidents
Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, tuning, and maintenance
Participate in performance optimization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Contribute to documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing within the team
Work in an agile setup with close collaboration between local and central DBA functions

What you bring:
Proven experience as a DBA or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of DB2 z/OS and mainframe database environments
Experience with business-critical databases and high-availability systems
Understanding of mainframe / zOS operations
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to work
Positive attitude with eagerness to develop expertise in database technology
