Systems Engineer II - Install & Configure Dell!EMC Due to an inter-company transfer, a position has opened for a Systems Engineer as part of the EMEA Enterprise Deployment Team (EDT).This position will be based in the Swedish BU, but reporting to the regional Deployment Manager (DM).As a member of EDT you will be trained to perform the installation and configuration of Dell!EMC hardware and software and complex storage solutions.This position requires 90% travel (nights away from home), primarily in the Nordics, but also across EMEA.Work will frequently be performed in the evenings and on weekends.The jobholder must develop a close relationship with customers, Sales Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, Technical Sales Representatives.You will often work alone and you must be able to keep to a schedule without constant supervision. "X Installation, configuration and commissioning of Enterprise system software products, i.e.OS, systems management software, storage consolidation and backup applications; requires competence in at least two server OSs (Windows, Linux, Novell, Solaris, or VMware). "X Integrating Dell Enterprise hardware and software products into third party environments, possibly including proprietary UNIX environments; requires system integration knowledge and experience of server and tape library installation. "X Provide the Customer with an excellent ¡§Customer Experience¡ of the installation and commissioning of their newly acquired Dell products; requires excellent communication and inter-personal skills. "X Undertake ownership of the resolution of installation difficulties, ranging from technical problems to order delivery issues; requires on site trouble shooting certification. "X Perform technical ¡§on-the-job¡ training of colleagues and Dell Service Partner staff; requires good teaching skills.
