Work description:
There are exciting times at Worley, new projects and Customers coming in, giving our employees the opportunity to grow and develop. Therefore, we need to further strengthen our Process Department and looking for a Department Manager for Process & Design HSE to our team.
In the role as Department Manager of Process & DHSE you will be leading our Process department within all project phases from feasibility studies to execution phases. The engineers participate in the design of a process unit, including establishing process design basis, development of process options and optimization of selected design. As most of the projects are executed close to our Customers sites there are constant feedback between design and execution.
As a Department Manager you will lead our team of process engineers including their ongoing development and their assignment on studies and projects. You will assist business development activities by facilitating the maintenance of personal profiles and resumes, tracking existing capabilities, and strategically addressing future customer capability requirements. As a Manager you participate in budgeting and manages discipline operations to the budget, ensure team members adherence to company processes, engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. A solid process knowledge is a prerequisite for a person working in this role. As a Department Manager of Process & DHSE you will report directly to the Location Manager of Engineering.


Specific Accountabilities
Responsible to lead the department delivering projects with quality, in time and within budget.
Accountable for delivery of engineering within the discipline and responsible for all resources within the department.
Identify resource needs, request them and coordinate and align with other Worley disciplines.
Accountable for the performance of the department, discipline risk and driving continuous improvement.
Implementing relevant company HSE requirements and drive Safe and Sustainable engineering outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle.



To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
As a minimum a MSc degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or a related subject relevant to Process Engineering and 15+ years of Process/DHSE experience and 5+ years in project leadership.
Training in leadership and project execution.
A competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
Skills in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
Experience of Microsoft Office, Aspen/HYSYS and/or other process simulation tools
Swedish and English, fluent in speech and writing.

It is a merit with experience from the process, upstream-or downstream oil and gas or nuclear power.
As a person you have a structured, curious and prestige less personality and you are striving for the best solution. The role is wide and you handle many different tasks and people, this is something you enjoy and are comfortable with. You are able to effectively communicate and present complex proposals and report to senior level management. You focus on HSE and are a role-model to personal well-being and have a pro-active approach to continuously improving health, safety and environmental performance.
You are used to participate in safety review meetings and have a systematic approach to planning and prioritizing tasks as well as following up on KPI metrics.
