Design Engineer

Assignment Description Experience concept design engineers.Packaging and concept design of mainly plastic components in CATIA V5 and/or UG.The design engineer is responsible to, based on the technical specifications / A-surfaces provided, find the correct technical solution, establish reference points, perform tolerance stack-up calculations (for advanced calculations we use special programs /colleagues), select materials, define tolerances and create 3D-models and 2D-drawings acc.to customer standards.Problem solving of technical problems. Location Arendal. Personal properties: Must be able to keep agreed due dates.Structured personality.Experience from tolerance calculations, geometrical positioning/reference points etc.Very good knowledge of plastic materials and its design limitations (draft angles, wall thickness, injector locations to avoid sink marks / flow lines, ejectors etc.).Good understanding from injection moulding tools (set-up and limitations).Good PC skills (excel, word). Experience CATIA: V5 or UG mandatory (one of them). Automotive: Minimum 5 years incl.3 years interior. Language requirements: English mandatory, Swedish and German a plus.Driving licence: B.
