Job Opening: Design Engineer Company: Amazon Filters Ltd UK, are specialists in liquid filtration equipment for process industries.The company are one of the leading independent manufacturers of liquid filtration equipment in Europe and are based in Camberley, just outside London in the UK.Placement: Camberley, England Terms and conditions: 40 Hour week 8.30am - 5.00pm ½ hour lunch 1.00 - 1.30pm 20 days holiday + Xmas shutdown (normally 3-4 days) Job description: Member of the design team reporting to the Design Team Leader.Needs to work on own initiative to produce product designs for specific contracts, initiate original ideas, and generally work in conjunction with the Team Leader.Key responsibilities: . To work in conjunction with the Team Leader . To prepare calculations and the design of all vessels based on PD5500; EN and ASME codes of practice .To make a selection of suitable weld type and preparation detail.. To ensure that designs of meet the requirements of the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) regulations .To design vessels and components using Pro Engineer 3D CAD software . To operate the ISO 9001.2000 control and conformance of design department functions, issue control and drawing register.. To prioritise own work . To interact and communicate with other teams for cost effective and practical vessel design, and for the improvement of the products.. To produce innovative and novel new product designs, and to assist in the development of existing products.. To produce manufacturing drawings for new and existing products and run ongoing product evaluation and development projects..To Project manage contracts as allocated, and co-ordinate to completion.This involve progress, inspection, testing and check visits to sub contractors Education: You have an education in engineering or corresponding work experience.It is qualifying if you have experience to work with software Pro Engineer.
