We are looking for a Digital Modeler to join our dynamic and diverse team in Gothenburg. Working with us at Product Design is an opportunity to work in a global environment with truly amazing product design development. We are a team of passionate colleagues from many different backgrounds and cultures working together towards our common goals. 


You will be part of a global organization of design excellence that creates superior customer value by designing appealing products with strong brand profiles for the Volvo Group. You will work within Volvo Group Trucks Technology and belong to the Complete Vehicle organization.


What will you work with as Digital Modeler? 
Your main responsibility will be to create and deliver the Product Design Digital Surface Models in projects. Which of our business areas you will work with is something we will decide together as it depends on the ongoing projects and what you are interested in. Regardless of the brand or our business area (Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Buses and Penta), you will contribute and support the projects with technical surfacing expertise and knowledge.


In this position you will report to the Model Group Manager and be located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

As your will represent Product Design we need you to be a person who acts proactively and takes responsibility for your deliveries. We also expect you to have the ability to communicate and contribute to solve complex cross-functional issues with a focus on Product Design and thrive on being part of a multi-disciplinary team.


Other key requirements for the role:  
A degree in a related design discipline
Several years of experience in the automotive industry
Proficiency in modeling software such as ICEM surf or Alias, and a strong knowledge of the digital modeling processes and solutions. CATIA and Blender knowledge is considered a merit.
Experience of working in a Design Studio environment
Fluent in English (oral and written)
