Designer Mechanics at Ericsson Master Industrialization Center, Kista Description of the company/unit Ericsson is shaping the future of mobile and broadband internet communications through its ongoing technological leadership.Providing innovative solutions in more than 140 countries, Ericsson is helping to create the most powerful communication companies in the world.Equipment Design is a part of the NPI (New Product Introduction) & Prototyping department at MIC (Master & Industrialization Center) Kista.The NPI & Prototyping department is responsible for taking Ericsson's Antenna Near Products (GSM and WCDMA) from the concept stage to production and for supporting different design organizations with, for example, test hardware development, product and producibility analysis, and prototype manufacturing.Job description Equipment Design is responsible for designing equipment for test and manufacturing.Using Unigraphics Design, your main task will be to design the mechanics for test applications and for assembly equipment.Because you will be taking part in the development of new products, from prototype to full-scale production, you will use your innovative mind to create solutions for an effective test environment.This will be done in close cooperation with other designers within your department, as well as with test development units, product development units and the Ericsson mechanical workshop for prototypes. Competence Bachelor of Science in Mechanics, or equivalent education or experience.- Experience in mechanical design.- CAD experience, preferably Unigraphics Design (NX).- Good communication skills.- Fluent knowledge in English and Swedish.- It would be an advantage if you have experience in PDM (Product Data Management) as well as with a metal engineering workshop.It is important that you are curious and flexible.You should be ingenious and have an outgoing and positive attitude, and be enthusiastic about facing new problems to solve.You are the sort of person who strives to broaden your knowledge in new areas and works well both in a team and independent environment.
