About our organization 
Product Engineering Group 3 (PEG 3) is part of Product Engineering Unit RAN Performance (PEU RP), which develops Ericsson's Baseband software for the Purpose-built and Cloud RAN portfolio. We create software solutions that enable high-performance, scalable, secure, and energy-efficient mobile networks used by communication service providers around the world. 
As the industry continues its transformation toward cloud-native architectures, our teams are driving the evolution of Cloud RAN solutions and preparing the foundations for future networks. In addition to advancing today's 5G capabilities, we are actively developing technologies that will contribute to 6G, the next generation of mobile communications. 
What you will do:
Develop and maintain software for Ericsson's Baseband and Cloud RAN solutions. 
Design, implement, test, and troubleshoot software components. 
Contribute to software architectural improvement. 
Work with automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices. 
Leverage AI and automation to increase productivity and reduce lead time. 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Ericsson's global R&D organization. 
Learn and apply modern software engineering methodologies and AI-enabled development tools. 
Contribute to innovations supporting the evolution from 5G Advanced toward future 6G networks. 
The skills you bring:
We recruit for potential and believe that curiosity, learning ability, and collaboration are key ingredients for success. You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of professional experience and possess: 
MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Telecommunications, or another relevant field. 
Programming experience in one or more languages such as C++, Python, Java, or similar. 
Interest in software development, AI, machine learning, and telecommunications 
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and coding assistants (for example Coding Buddy, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools) is an advantage. 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
A growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn. 
Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse and international teams. 
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
