About the role

The Base Design team creates prerequisites in early development phases - for all teams in the ART to be prepared and be able to realize our Product strategy in later development stages.
To enable the handle of cars on the aftermarket considering both the products developed by Product Creation as well as our own workshop concepts. 
To be successful in the role you need to be a great collaborator/communicator and build strong networks within the company.

What you’ll do

You will be a Developer in the Base Design team that works in the early phases of the car projects together with Product Creation.
You will identify, together with the workshop concept team, our aftermarket needs, to achieve the best possible service solution with a focus on new technology, sustainability, and service programs to give other teams inside our ART the best possible conditions for producing the aftermarket information.
The mission includes defining an optimized Spare Part assortment, defining and initiating needed Tools & Equipment as well as Service Procedures including operation times ready to match a specific car launch.

You and your skills

We believe you have a University Degree or equivalent experience and are fluent in English (written and spoken).
You have experience in attribute leadership we search for a person who knows how to handle requirements inside an organization. 
You know how a car is designed and how it works, both in terms of hardware and software. Knowledge of Volvo Cars is meritorious, but other cars are also valued.
Knowledge of automotive is meritorious.
