GM Powertrain is in the frontline when it comes to development of turbo engines and manual gearboxes.The introduction of BioPower is the latest prominent example of innovative technology that has received at lot of attention.We are part of GM Powertrain, a concern with activity in 17 countries and has over 59 000 employees.GM Powertrain Sweden are today working with around 960 employees stated at three sites in Sweden: engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg Development and Test Engineer Duties: As development and test engineer you are responsible of planning and implementation of tests of engine and transmission controls.This involves both definition of test methods and test performances.Moreover, the work consists of test automation, which includes both software development and maintenance of test system.Some support towards production and after-sales might be included.The work will also involve troubleshooting/debugging, modelling and simulation.The team is responsible for tests and troubleshooting both during development and during the time the control system is in production, which requires a close cooperation with developers, project leaders and customers.You will be a part of an international team who plans, prepares requirements and coordinates the activity.Background: You have a M.Sc.in Engineering, Electrical/Automotive or university degree in engineering, with an interest for steering systems and engine development.Earlier contact with test systems or simulations, built-in real time systems, CAN communication, automated test or software development is preferable.You are comfortable with test instruments, voltmeters, oscilloscope and with doing tests inside the car.You have good knowledge in English, both written and verbal and find it easy to cooperate with GM colleagues in Europe and USA.Mark your application with reference number 294/1377.
