Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Our department
Department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer and market adaptations of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. In the group Bodywork Adaptation (ERSPA), we work in a dynamic and exciting environment close to the market and customers. We work independently but in close cooperation within the team, group, and different cross functions within R&D, sales and marketing, aftersales, purchasing, and production. As a development engineer at Bodywork Adaptation, you´ll get a good understanding of the whole vehicle and you will be able to deepen and specialize in different areas within body adaptability.
Our group
In our group, we are 16 engineers who are working with bodywork adaptations. We are a diverse group regarding experience, background, age, and gender. The group is divided into three different teams; A-order, S-order, and FFU - And we are now looking for a new colleague to the A-order team!
Today the A-team consists of 4 development engineers and one project manager. We are good at sharing our knowledge and supporting each other when needed within the group, which contributes to the great collaboration between our teams. For us it's also important to have a great team spirit, therefore we try to find new things to do outside the office together for example going to a hockey game, playing badminton or bowling or just having dinner, which contributes to that.

Your assignment
As a development engineer within the A-order team, you will..
Learn about the development process and the vehicle.
Design and/or develop different parts of the truck that are or will be included in the Scania modular program.
Develop and maintain our products in larger development projects.
Use different systems that describe how the truck is specified.
Communicate a lot with colleagues and customers.

We would also like that..
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
You write and speak fluently in English. If you write and speak fluently in Swedish, it is a merit.

Experience in working with Catia V5, OAS, and Enovia, is highly meritorious. As well as knowledge of Scania’s module system and processes.
