Development engineer, Engine Auxiliary Systems

Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. In order to strengthen the department's competence and capacity to meet future exhaust emission requirements, we are now looking for a development engineer with major focus on mechanical design of components and systems for exhaust after-treatment. As a design engineer you will work in a team responsible to specify, develop and design hardware components for the exhaust after-treatment systems for new engine projects. You will also support quality assuring activities of the components as well as for the complete systems. Should the occasion arise, you will also support product maintenance activities on the components and systems. Development work of other engine installation components will be a minor part of the responsibility also Required Competencies: . High ability to plan and structure work . Very high power of initiatives . Interest for and knowledge of engines is seen as a merit . High knowledge in written and spoken English, since the work is done in an international environment Minimum Education Required: . M.Sc or B.Sc with experience of mechanical design work
