Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division has the responsibility for development and manufacturing of driveline components to Volvo's construction equipment. Development of electronic systems is also a part of the responsibility. Component Division has app. 1 200 employees. The business is located to Eskilstuna, but manufacturing is also performed in co-operation with other companies in different places. The department Drivetrain Development at Volvo CE Components AB is responsible for development of transmissions, brakes and wheel axles for Volvo wheel loaders, articulated haulers and motor graders. Today the total number of employees is 37. We are now looking for Development Engineers - Drive Train Job Description: Product development and product maintenance of drive train components Development of production drawings in close co-operation with our purchasing, production technology and after market business Maintain close contact with suppliers, both internal and external Participation in cross-functional project teams, within or outside the company Candidate Profile Professional Experience: Knowledge and several years of experience in product development within mechanical design Documented experience of 3D CAD design and development of production drawings, preferrably in Catia v5 and/or Solid Edge Experience in dealing with design and development problems with a strong intuitive and analytic ability to resolve problem issues Experience of work in a international environment Personal Qualifications: Good communication and documentation skills Open positive attitude, target oriented, flexible and ability to work independently Good ability to work and perform in cross-functional project teams, both inside and outside the company Good co-ordination skills Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken, is essential Good practical mind, for example experience in doing repair work on vehicles. We think that you then have a practical understanding for robustness and serviceability Education: Master degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
