We are now looking for a Diagnostics engineer defining our diagnostics functionality!

 

Your team
You will be part of the Chapter Physical Electrical Architecture/Base Tech which is one of four competence areas within the E/E Hardware Tribe. Our focus is to define and develop vehicle solutions for integrated vehicle motion control and self-driving capabilities. We are also supporting this development with data analytics and strategies for data management. You will address work tasks from a HW point of view, integration, releases, and having full responsibility for both HW and SW development.

What you will do
We are now looking for experienced Diagnostics engineer that can define our future integrated vehicle diagnostics platform, and together with our inhouse/external software and E/E HW development and suppliers bring this to life.

We expect you to act as the Diagnostics expert in a team that will define the diagnostics for current and next generation for our self-driving vehicles. In your role you will define functional requirements, evaluate concepts, and work closely with your team and with suppliers to identify and implement the most optimal diagnostics solution for our vehicles. You will work in close collaboration with engineers who have experience from development of both mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. You will contribute with the system- and functional perspective of this development and will be a key player to find the optimal trade-off between the requirements (performance, functional safety, quality and cost).

Your responsibilities
- Break down vehicle and system level requirements into diagnostics systems requirements
- Work with suppliers, partners, and internal development teams to define and evaluate functional concepts of diagnostics.
- Evaluate diagnostic solutions of suppliers and/or standardizations org. E.G. Open alliance.
- Work close with the team to ensure a cross functional requirement set
- Support defining diagnostics strategies for E/E and SW systems
- Collaboration with NEVS engineers and partners at different departments and locations
- Mentoring of colleagues

 

Who you are
- More than 7 years of experiences from automotive (or similar) industry
- At least 5-7 years of experience as system engineer in the field of Diagnostics, with at least 3-5 years related to implementation of UDS or similar diagnostics services/systems.
- Knowledge in ISO 26262 and experience from working with components meeting ASIL
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree
- Test-driven development approach
- Focus on solving problems
- Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
- Driver license for vehicle
