Global Industrial Development (TE) is responsible for development and consolidation of Scania’s joint competence within industrial engineering and also development and coordination of industrial IT-system. Our department (TEE) consists of four groups with focus on industrial engineering. We support our customers with machining & assembly production expertise and factory design. Moreover, we support investment projects, hosts the Scania Smart Factory Lab and the development of digital tools towards engineering requirements.



About the role

We are now looking for a team member to work in the TEEA Assembly Engineering Group. The role as Digital factory engineer in the field of factory flow and logistics preparation consists of:


• Developing and maintaining tools and methods for factory flow and logistics preparation
• Product owner for tools in the field of factory flow and logistics preparation
• Support user groups with competence development
• Conduct projects at customers as an expert in your field



The project work will mainly be supporting customer projects with flow analysis using for instance discrete event simulation. Therefore experience and understanding of productions flows and our production system is valuable. 

Good cooperation with customers, team members and Scania IT will be required to succed in your role. The role will involve travelling to customers for better understanding and cooperation. 

You will be working in a team, together with other experts and engineers in various areas. Today we are eight people in the team and we are looking forward for an additional team member. You will also take part in the cross-functional Digital Factory team. The goal for the Digital Factory is to create a lifelike virtual description or “Digital Twin” of our production and logistics. All aspects of products, processes, equipment’s and plants are simulated and analysed virtually.



Your qualifications



• Masters Eng./Comp Science or Production/Industrial Engineering in related fields or demonstrated experience in the industry
• English proficiency, Swedish/Portuguese/French/Dutch/German/Spanish is a merit
