The automotive industry is changing rapidly and so are the demands and expectations of consumers. Volvo Cars has taken a strategic decision to lead this change. This not only means building state-of-the-art premium cars, but rethinking the entire consumer experience and creating competitive offers that address our customers’ ever-changing needs. One such trend is the move towards online sales, and it’s this online transformation that will power the next great change for Volvo Cars.
In the EMEA region, we drive content production for both our traditional car products and new services such as car subscriptions – with a digital-first approach and online sales focus at the core of what we do. 

We’re currently building an in-house team that creates scalable digital content for paid and direct marketing channels, and we’re looking to grow the team with a Digital Planner.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced planner with a background in digital content for paid and direct channels. We’re after someone who’s keen on collaborating with the Digital Content team to shape the future of marketing activation in the EMEA region. We’re seeking a person who oversees all aspects of content planning: from the nitty-gritty details of formats and ways of working, to ensuring content is produced and uploaded at the right time – as well as pushing any wider strategic topics required to leverage an in-house content planning role. 

What you’ll do
•    Take responsibility for overall planning within the team to secure and lead a scalable, consistent and aligned approach to communication
•    Organise and manage the content calendar for all digital content produced within the EMEA HUB, ensuring transparency and alignment on all other content
•    Drive dialogue with stakeholders from various units within the company as well as external agencies to secure successful launches of in-house content and alignment on campaign toolkits
•    Structure, collect and compile input and data as a base for best possible ad formats/content
•    Manage and coordinate translation and implementation of material for online sales, subscription services and HUB markets
•    Lead not only strategic content dialogue but also hands-on tactical discussions, with a sales- and data-driven perspective as your guiding star
•    Take an active part in creative briefing with the team, utilising a full overview of the complete scope in order to maximise overall content scalability across channels and usage
•    Together with the digital cluster leads, plan and align to secure channel previews, approvals and activations

Do you fit the profile?
You’re well experienced within the digital content landscape and planning. You’re used to planning for and coordinating with a team that delivers content for paid and direct marketing channels, from designers to copywriters. You have previous experience from an international, fast-paced transformative company within a region and/or agency planner experience.

You also have:
Experience from a variety of different roles within marketing and great knowledge of the below areas:
•    Planning operations and strategy 
•    Experienced marketeer (different functions, from operational to strategy)
•    Digital marketing, preferably performance marketing with an always-on approach
•    Communication
•    Tactical marketing, conversion focus
•    Understand the deployment of digital content
•    Strong strategic planning with the ability to activate operational planning
•    Experience of budget responsibility and indirect leadership
•    Used to working with a testing framework for content optimisation
•    A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent relevant areas 
•    Fluency in English – it will be your daily working language
