Director of IT

As the IT Director for Spin Master Digital you’ll be a key player - both in terms of your role in the functional IT team globally, as well as in leading the support for all our studios. With a fine tuned sense for finding pragmatic solutions to complex problems, you’ll help us leverage global processes to ensure compliance and smooth workflows. You’ll also make sure we meet the needs of Spin Master Digital’s studios - currently consisting of Toca Boca, Noid (both in Stockholm), Sago Mini (Toronto) and Originator (San Francisco).

Digital is the Spin Master division where all our game studios have their home - and it’s growing. Every year, we’re adding more studios to our portfolio, so now we’re looking for an IT Director to help us make sure we safely onboard new members of the Spin Master Digital family to the IT ecosystem.

What you’ll be doing
As our new IT Director for Spin Master Digital, you’ll have your office space in Stockholm, but your role will be truly international. You’ll interact frequently with stakeholders in North America and Europe, and have one of the leading positions in our global IT team - all while you drive the IT support for the Digital Creative Center.

You’ll establish and implement IT policies for all studios in the Digital Games Creative Center (DGCC) that meet Spin Master's global IT requirements while supporting each studio's need to work independently and implement solutions that solve their unique needs. You’ll design and implement IT policies that allow each digital studio to act independently while also ensuring global IT requirements are satisfied.

As the first person in this role you’ll conduct a top to bottom IT security review of each digital studio's IT operations and work with each studio's IT team, to implement any required changes. You’ll establish regular touchpoints with the global Spin Master IT team, acting as a single voice for all studios under the Digital Games Creative Center.
Is this you?
You’ve worked for many years in IT-leadership positions. You have a background in backend development and extensive experience using cloud hosted infrastructure, as well as knowledge and understanding for IT- and cybersecurity.

You have experience implementing IT governance frameworks and policies that balance both risk and team productivity. You’re comfortable using a variety of modern Saas productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Miro, Atlassian etc.

You have great communication (both verbal and written), facilitation, and presentation skills. You are a natural relationship builder and have the ability to align stakeholders across all levels of an organization.

This is a full time permanent position based in our Stockholm office, starting with a 6 month probation period. We have a hybrid work model - part office, part from home. As we’re an international company, with over 20 nationalities working here, and millions of users all over the world, you have to be fluent in English.
