The role:
The Director of Sales and Marketing Strategy at Sheraton Stockholm Hotel is a pivotal role in steering the property towards a new era of growth, excellence, and innovation. With the commencement of renovation embracing the charm of Stockholm’s rich cultural history and modern sustainability, the hotel is set to enhance its position as one of the leading hotels in the city. The role will drive this transformation with a sharp focus on repositioning the newly refurbished hotel, especially targeting the local market, new business opportunities, and growth in the Nordic countries.

 

Strategic Commercial Leadership:
Lead the development and execution of a commercial strategy at Sheraton Stockholm, reflecting AHM’s ethos and emphasizing the hotel's unique positioning and refurbishment. Drive revenue growth in Nordic markets, MICE, and high-end leisure. Manage budgets, oversee commercial reporting, and ensure high-performance standards within the commercial team.

 

Brand Positioning & Communication:
Articulate and maintain Sheraton Stockholm’s identity post-refurbishment in alignment with the brand's and AHM’s sustainable ethos. Approve all communications for consistency with brand messaging.

 

Sales, Partnerships & Marketing:
Maximize profitable revenue through overseeing sales and marketing activities. Build key market relationships, employ digital marketing strategies, and manage property collateral. Drive social media and PR strategies, evaluate sponsorships, and troubleshoot operational issues. Lead Digital Marketing strategy and B2B and F&B marketing strategies.

 

Collaborative Expertise:
Integrate commercial strategies across functions, engage with local tourism authorities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Provide commercial leadership to the hotel management team, ensuring staff retention, training, and succession planning. Represent Sheraton in the community, positioning the hotel as a leader.

 

Your qualifications: 

 

Experience & Skills:



• A minimum of five years in a leadership role within a luxury lifestyle hotel brand or hospitality company, preferably overseeing Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce, 

• Communications & PR, and Partnerships.

• Strong commercial acumen, including managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting.

• Proven track record in achieving commercial targets and driving profitable business results.

• In-depth knowledge of Stockholm’s hotel/tourism market and experience in sales or marketing targeting domestic and international agents and corporations.


 

Leadership & Management:



• Proficient in leading, mentoring, influencing teams, and setting clear performance goals.

• Experienced in building, training, and developing a high-performing, diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability in leading, managing, and handling pressured situations with confidence.


 

Communication & Relationship Building:



• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English; a third language is beneficial.

• Strong relationship-building skills with the owner's network, peer groups, internal employees, and other stakeholders.

• Energetic and innovative task approach, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on action.


 

Technical & Analytical:



• High level of digital literacy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and Marriott System landscape (an advantage).
