Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Globalization, digitalization, and sustainability are examples of trends that are affecting our business environment. We are increasing our ability to make use of our information assets and utilize new technology. We are now looking for a new colleague to join us in this exciting and dynamic environment and really get a hand on in driving the shift towards sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is now establishing the 3rd industrial hub in Rugao, China and one part is to implement a chassis assembly unit. To manage this are we now looking for a new colleague that can take a lead in securing that this unit will have the right IT/automation solutions. 


What You Will Do

Your primary task is to lead the design and planning of the implementation of IT/automation solutions to support the Chassis assembly unit project. To achieve this must you work closely with the other areas of the project, making sure that we have a good understanding of the needs and important milestones. Within China, the program will also support the general IT project to secure complete delivery.

 

In this role situated in Södertälje, the primary tasks will be:  


• Project management as a sub-project manager
• Coordinating IT activities within the Chassis project and with other projects within the China program
• Gathering business needs and translating the need to action
• Investigate and prepare decisions for different IT and automation solutions
• Create a plan on how to deliver the needed solution  

Your profile

You have been working on production investment projects, implementing new production equipment and assembly lines. In these projects have you worked with securing that we implement the right IT and automation solutions. You have knowledge and experience that supports you in taking the right decisions to secure the timeline as well as the quality of the technical deliveries. You have experience of the assembly process at Scania. 

We believe that you have a degree within the field of IT and that you have worked in the area for over 5 years. Moreover that you have a proven track record as a professional, both in terms of leading projects but also in terms of handling complex IT/automation projects with positive results, with insight into MES/SCADA systems.

Moreover, you are driven, with a clear sight for the long-term goal and a problem-solving attitude. You are structured and can lead people around you towards a common goal. You have the ability to create and maintain relationships in complex environments without any prestige. You are flexible with an attitude that enables you to cope with changing tasks and moving targets.
