The e-Mobility Analytics group is developing new tools and methods to advance EV sales, supporting our science-based targets, and we are now looking for an additional team member to join us on this journey.

Work description
In this role you will help build the centre of excellence within electric vehicle solutions, you will help understand electric vehicle operational data, gain insight in battery performance and charging in order to deliver customer value and support our Business Units together with the rest of the E-mobility team.

You will be part of a team functioning as Scania’s customer analytics advisory, creating a benchmark in the industry, leveraging connected vehicle data to aid customers to go fully electric. We succeed by closely cooperating with our customers in an iterative process, backed up by a cross functional collaboration within Scania.


Tasks include



• Draft and develop prototype tools, methods and systems needed to accelerate roll out of electric vehicles together with the team.
• Act as an expert user and provide input to development teams, identify flaws and define the necessary improvements for future EV sales tools.
• Use the internal cross-functional knowledge and leverage operational data to provide advice for electrified solutions connected to strategic customers.

Your profile
A curious self-starter who likes to work with both technology and business development, close to customers in a high paced environment. You have an open mind and enjoy building things in a context where the road forward is not always clear. You enjoy taking initiatives and are not afraid to try new things.

Insight into vehicles and operational situations is important for a good understanding of the analytics results and the connection to the real world. If you have worked with heavy vehicles, electric powertrains and/or data analysis for somewhere around 3 years, that would help you confidently filling the role as a trusted expert in the field. 

To reach the correct conclusions in an efficient and balanced way, experience from mechanical, software and/or electrical engineering will be a suitable background.

Doing our own tool and method development is a key part of the daily work for the group, enabling us to quickly reach the best value for the business. For this, knowledge within SQL, Matlab, Python and/or APIs (REST/SOAP) will be useful for finding creative and efficient solutions to current needs.

As presenting your results to the customer is a key part of the role, being able to communicate clearly and to efficiently convey your message are important skills. You should also master English with high proficiency.
