EHS Manager - Rock Tools

EHS Manager - Rock Tools

Arbetsbeskrivning

We’re committed to set the industry standard and passionate when it comes to health, safety, quality and sustainability. We play fair, build circularity and champion people, and together we make the shift towards a more sustainable business.
At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we know that we can only achieve this through building a strong culture that generates true value, and everyone needs to be onboard. Take a moment and listen to what our President has to say about it in this video.
For the Rock Tools division and our site in Sandviken, we’re now looking for a structured EHS Manager to join a small and dynamic team that makes a difference. We welcome you on this exciting journey towards a more sustainable business, where you’ll have the opportunity to truly influence our way of working!
The mission – contribute to a safer and greener workplace by increasing awareness and improving processes
As EHS Manager, you lead the EHS team on the mission of helping our business in taking the next steps towards zero harm and a sustainable future, by working closely towards managers and employees within our Rock Tools production unit in Sandviken. Promoting the EHS agenda, you map and create crystal clear processes and structures for our operations to lean on in their daily work. By running different campaigns, you get our entire organization to both understand and sign off on what it takes to walk in the forefront in this area, and you provide the relevant guidelines, training and tools to increase our performance. Naturally, you also contribute with your knowledge in projects across the organization, as well as represent the company in EHS contacts with external and internal stakeholders as well as with relevant authorities.
This position is located in Sandviken, reporting to the Site and Sustainability Manager and representing Sandviken in our Rock Tools global EHS team.
Your experience is important, and your personality is key!
With a solid background in leading and driving EHS matters and activities related to cultural change, you know your way in EHS management systems and are experienced in systematic EHS and safety legislation. A university degree in the field of occupational health, safety and environment would be of relevance for this job, as well as leadership experience. As we operate both locally and in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English, as well as in Swedish.
Your passion to make a true impact helps you challenge us and look at new ways of working, and with an analytical approach you set good and clear structure for others. As a good leader, you’re able to create a sense of urgency, know how to prioritize and how to delegate. Additionally, you see your role as leader as an opportunity to develop others. Collaboration, excellent communication and support are your cornerstones, and you’re great at creating buy-in and motivating people. All in all, you’re a strategic initiator who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and work operatively.
At Sandvik, we believe in finding that perfect mix between work, family life and interests, and we happily support our employees in balancing this. For us, it’s also clear that an inclusive setting - where we back each other, learn together and celebrate our diversities - forms a solid foundation for achieving great results.
