At ABB Robotics we develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. The automotive industry and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry and pharmaceuticals, are automating their production with our robots. Main R&D and production sites are located in Sweden and China.
You will have a job that includes responsibility, variation, problem solving, technical challenges, highly skilled colleagues, and an exciting international workplace where sustainability, design and digitalization are in focus.


Your responsibilities
Design and create purchase material for electromechanical components, such as cabling, connectors, circuit breakers etc. for our new controller platform.
Secure field quality and continuous improvement of both new and existing electrical design.
Select, analyze and evaluate components to be used in accordance with internal and external standard specifications.
Create production Bill of Materials as well as production assembly drawings.
Create, review and revise electrical circuit diagrams.
Secure close collaboration with other R&D teams, external design partners, module owners, test engineers, production, purchasing etc. both in Sweden and China.
Other assignments such as process improvement, support to global product improvement, etc.

Your background
Preferably M.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Curious engineer with a true interest of working with robots and controller systems.
Advantageous is knowledge within circuit diagrams (eplan or similar) and electrical design (Solid Works or similar).
You have analytical mind and ability to make sound decisions regarding technical solutions. You also like to work hands-on with prototypes and testing.
You are positive, prestigeless, self-driven, and result-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
Fluency in English and Swedish language is mandatory.
